Both single components and assemblies of components can be associated with requirements; the management of the actual requirements will be performed in the usual Requirements Management System. This way, the developer always has those requirements at his hands that are relevant to the current task. Additionally, for each element that has associated requirements, test software can be automatically generated to test the respective software parts against its associated requirements.
Since the model already has all information about the final software system (behaviour in the form of component implementations and structure as the model), it is possible to generate the complete runnable software system with the push of a button. This ensures that the model is always consistent with the code.
The same components, that is, the same code base, are the source of generated Web services, Web applications, single-user applications, client-server applications or libraries.
